i should entitle thiz post as
"the power of prayer"
tat'z wat i experienced in
xiamen during the olympics trip
from 21st july to 27th july
went to xiamen for choir olympics
thanks GOD that we arrived safely
without tai fung...
the prayer group was first formed
in the terminal 2 changi airport!
juz before we enter the immigration.
we prayed for e trip and everything.
john lead e prayer.
then we're hafin practices n reherseals
before e competition day.
23rd july
it'z ms lim's bday! and at e same time
it'z our competition day.
itz a preliminary round.
in tiz round, we need to get a goLd
as the requirement to enter the real
olympics round.
fyi, ms lim'z category is mixed choir
while mr yong'z one is contemporary
and all of us were aiming to get GOLD
so that we can enter the olympics
at e same time, ms lim was asking GOLD
'as her bday present!
so u guess, almost all of us dun dare
to wish her happy bday in e mornin.
we're sooo nervous in e mornin and ms
lim was scolding us some more!
juz few mins before e competition, e
prayer group gathered and prayed together
for e competition. we left everything
to GOD as we've done our best to prepare
for tiz competition.
i was surprised n very happy tat ms lim
joined us in e prayer.
aft tat, it'z e performance tat we've
prepared for a year.
aft e performance, i guessed it'z not a
good one. we're flat n sharp here and there
and we're really out of tune in BINNAMA
i was quite sad but been reminded tat we
still haf another performance in e afternoon
so we came back to hotel, take a short nap
then went to lian hua theater for e second
competition.
tiz time round we also prayed before e per-
formance
i feel more calm. aft e 1st competition, i
surrended to GOD for e 2nd one. watever happen,
juz let it be.
aft the competition ended, we went straight to
grand hall of ppL for early dinner and at e
same time look for our mixed choir (ms lim'z)
result.
guess wat??
it'z a GOLD one (e lowest gold diploma)
aft heard e result i was soooooooooo happy!!!!
i dun bother whether it'z a gold one or
watever, but we get to e finaLs!
i was one of e first few ppl who knew e result
so aft tat ms lim announced e results to e
rest of e choir and they all r happy!
aft tat they wished ms lim happy bday
haha (they only dare to wish aft we knew we
get into finals)
so aft dinner, the prayer grp went to pray
again to thank GOD for e result and pray for
the contemp result (it will only be out @10pm)
aft tat, we had a practice with ms lim
oh ya e finals will be @ 24th july 5pm
actually we almost need to sing in e mornin
again (instead of 24th july 5pm, it'z 25th
9am)
but ms lim asked e organizer to let it be @
24th july
(it';z a bad things to sing in e mornin)
and at e end, e organizer managed to make
it 24th.
fiuh i believed it'z all GOD'z hands in us
oh ya at nite, we celebrated ms lim'Z bday
i've bought e cake the day before.
then christian lead e ppL to create an ntu
version of bday song (medley with o happy
day)
haha, we put 18candles in e cake =p
she's loves e song soooo much!
thanks christian for it ;)
then at nite, we all were waiting for
contemp result but till 10.30pm, no news
they said we haf to wait in e mornin
but ms lim told us we got a GOLD1
hmmm... nt sure about the result, mr yong
went to check the next day (which is our
mixed finals competition)
the practice were really bad in e
afternoon before the competition tiLL
some of e seniors cried
hmm it became like anti climax
but we became more relax in e waiting
room. as usual, the prayer group prayed
before e competition and guessed wat
MS LIM LEAD US IN PRAYER
i was really happy and shocked.
then christian prayed for us ozo.
zhiyu was there with us.
it'z again miracle.
we sang really well
all of us r very calm and everything
goes very well
we all can feel e music and it'z juz
very nice
aft e competition, ms lim jumped and
looked happy and sm of us (included me)
cried coz i feel we made it
aft those really though days n nitez..
and i juz can't stop crying huhu
oh for mr yong'z category, we got GOLD3
woo hoo!! tat'z not bad
it'z even near to GOLD4
then at nite we prepared mr yong'z
songs for final round the next day
so here we came the contemp finaLs...
before e competition, we prayed
tiz time round, zhiyu n loong joined us
for e prayer
the show...
everything went very smooth but i think
all of us still hafnt waken up yet
no emotions...
but it'z juz alrite
then aft tat we intended to watch e
other performers but then the organizer
asked us to go back to hotel coz it'z
announced tat there will be a tai fung
so ended up we're trapped inside e hotel
the whole day.hix....
the nxt day (25th) was e award presentation
we got 2SILVERS!
i thanks GOD for tat eventho i did cried
hehe...
i think im juz too sensitive,
everything also cried :p
btw i've chatted a bit with margaret n we
think that it'z all GOD'z hand with us
from e first time we can go to finaLs and
we performed really weLL in the finaLs
jane told me one thing when i cried on
her shoulder
"it'z juz the thought of 7ppL, we did it
though. even e audience clapped for us
and they think we're very good"

i muz tell u tat i really had a wonderful
marvelous fantastique trip with these lovely
ppL...
and im sure im gonna miss them, hix!
